The Queryloop Network's indexers are node operators who stake Queryloop Tokens (QUERYLOOP) to offer indexing and query processing services. For their efforts, indexers are paid in query fees and indexing incentives. Additionally, they get inquiry fees that are returned using an exponential rebate mechanism.
The protocol's staked QUERYLOOP is subject to a thawing time and has the potential to be sliced if Indexers act maliciously and provide apps with inaccurate data or if they index data wrongly. Indexers receive compensation from Delegators for stakes they have delegated in order to support the network.
Indexers decide which subgraphs to index depending on the curation signal for that subgraph, where curators stake QUERYLOOP to show which subqueries are important and should be given priority. Consumers (such as apps) can additionally specify the conditions under which Indexers handle subquery inquiries and their preferences for query charge pricing.
